Underground Vaults & Storage Recognized for Safety Record

Underground Vaults and Storage, Inc.’s (UV&S) Hutchinson Salt Mine facility and Corporate Offices were recognized for its outstanding safety record through the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP).  This marks the third time in 6 years these facilities garnered this recognition.

SHARP is a nationwide program initiated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and recognizes small employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system. UV&S is one of only 168 SHARP-certified companies in the state of Kansas.

“We’re very honored to be recognized once again for our safe  work environments,” said Lee Spence, President of UV&S. “Our company places an emphasis on safety and security to not only protect our employees, but to also provide the highest levels of security for our clients.  Safety permeates all we do and this recognition is a direct reflection of our employees diligence and hard work.”

The SHARP certification lasts for two years, and can be regularly renewed after that by maintaining all eligibility requirements.
